This position will begin on Monday, May 22nd, and end on Friday, July 28th (10 weeks) and require the intern to travel on-site to Martignetti Companies headquarters in Taunton, MA.
Position Overview
Martignetti Companies is seeking a Diversity & Culture Intern to join our Human Resources team this summer. This intern will partner with our AVP, HR and Diversity, Inclusion, and Cultural Initiatives manager to research, plan, and execute cultural development and inclusion programs and projects. Our summer interns will have the opportunity to participate in a peer-to-peer cohort group that will meet to ask questions, share experiences, and learn best practices. A final capstone presentation to the Martignetti Leadership team will close the internship session.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with research, planning, and implementation of strategic DEI and cultural development initiatives
Build and maintain rapport with company leaders, the HR team, and employees
Assist with employee engagement activities, committees, and/or task force participation
Research and provide recommendations and ideas to help ensure Martignetti Companies employees are supported and engaged
Participate in all internship activities and events scheduled during normal business hours
Support additional special projects on an Ad hoc basis
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
Proficient in Excel / Word / PowerPoint / MS Office
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
Self-motivated, team player who is enthusiastic
Physical Demands and Environment
Work performed requires no measurable physical exertion, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds
Work requires the employee to bend, kneel, crouch, or reach as may be necessary to accomplish tasks
Work requires considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks requiring periods of focused mental and visual concentration
Works in a normal office environment
Minimal potential for injury in the performance of duties
Compensation
$18 per hour, 40 hours per week
