VCA Morris Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team as Supervisor to complement our veterinary team! This is a full-time position located in Lancaster, Ohio. Candidates who are interested in joining our fun and exciting team should enjoy multitasking and have the ability to advocate for our clients and patients.
Some responsibilities include:
Monitoring and coaching the team to encourage productivity and foster a positive atmosphere
Monitor compliance with job descriptions and "to do" lists
Offer opinions on potential employment candidates and assist with the hiring process
Provide direct on-the-job training to all new hires
Assist with personnel matters including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, resolve informal employee complaints, etc.
Create the staff schedule and attendance records; fill in when warranted
Oversee inventory and equipment management
Plan, schedule and conduct regular staff meetings
Act as a liaison between the management team and staff
Monitor, evaluate and respond to all client communications
Function as a contact person for clients concerning complaints or problems they may experience
Build relationships with vendors and referring veterinarians
Have knowledge regarding federal and state animal health laws and regulations including OSHA and ensure the hospital is in compliance with said regulations
Conduct chart audits to ensure completion and accuracy of information and protocols
Assist the management team with any other hospital needs
