VCA Pike Creek Animal Hospital is seeking a F/T Associate Veterinarian to join our tenured DVM team in Newark, Delaware.
Our Veterinary Support staff is comprised of a mix of seasoned veterinary technicians and those eager to learn and grow in their careers. Our family-oriented team focuses on Pet Care with a strong dedication to the clients and the community and strive to continue providing the best care available. The building is well maintained, beautifully landscaped, has 4 exam rooms, a large treatment room, roomy surgery suite and dental area with new equipment (adjustable, free standing dental table, digital dental radiography, and laser surgery). We also have FAST scan ultrasound, digital radiography and a separate isolation area with its own exercise yard. Our facility also offers boarding for cats and dogs. You will see a fresh, new look to the hospital with updated MIDMARK cabinetry and new flooring. There is a lot of pride in our practice.
Our hospital is incredibly family oriented and we know a healthy work/life balance is required in this field. At VCA Pike Creek, we want to make sure the working parents get plenty of opportunity to be with their family. We also want the new graduates or seasoned doctors to know we have been listening and understand their need for a peaceful weekend to recover from a busy week.
Full time doctors at VCA Pike Creek work a four-day workweek! Our doctors rotate an on-call schedule only for our boarding patients should a problem occur during their stay.
You will find our hospital located in Pike Creek/Newark, Delaware, which is northern Delaware, just minutes' drive to Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Enjoy the 20-minute ride to Wilmington's nightlife and Riverfront where you find festivals and live music. For horse lovers - spend your day at the races at Delaware Park, or step into Maryland for Fair Hill eventing and trails. Winterthur is home to a gorgeous museum and yearly steeplechases. Take a drive to Lewes for small town shopping, dining, and gorgeous beaches, or a bit further and find yourself on the Boardwalk at Rehoboth Beach. There is lots of history in our small state and tax-free shopping! We are also about an hour from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and about 2.5 hours from NYC and Washington DC. You will never be bored!
