GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Enclosure Solutions Specialist will work to promote the Tremco CPG Brands of products by influencing the influencers within the design and construction process. They shall focus on Owners, Architects, Consultants, and Construction Managers and General Contractors, in doing so they will work to include as many Tremco CPG Company products into design and construction projects as possible. The Enclosure Solutions Specialist shall utilize the Enclosure System Solutions Program services comprising of the Building Enclosure Design Solutions Services and the Tremco CPG Construction Quality Control Program to assist the design team and construction teams in their risk mitigation and serve as subject matter expert technical resource to them. They shall also offer support and assistance to the Technical Sales Representatives at a local level as a Subject Mater Expert on designated projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Construction Managers and General Contractors to incorporate as many of the Tremco CPG Companies products as possible on construction projects.
Work with Construction Managers and General Contractors to assist in the development of their building enclosure risk mitigation strategy, based upon the Tremco CPG Construction Quality Control Program and the Enclosure Commissioning Process which includes but is not limited to:
Review of drawings and details, specification assistance, constructability reviews, assist pre-construction and pre-installation meetings, performance mockups, site audits, and attend field testing.
Work collaboratively with the local Technical Sales Representatives on all Construction QC Program Projects, and all Enclosure Design Solutions Services. Synergize with the local representatives to ensure the installing contractor, in their area, bid all Tremco CPG products won out as Basis of Design for any given project.
Work directly with the local Technical Sales Representatives as necessary to support their efforts to win or flip non-Construction QC Program Projects, by aiding with design review, constructability review, spec review, detail solutions at transitions, and Tremco CPG presentations, as necessary.
Work with Architects and Consultants to ensure specifications and details are constructible and when possible, make Tremco CPG Companies the Basis of Design.
Provide product recommendations for the enclosure design.
Conduct design review and specification review for all building enclosure design.
Collaborate with the Owner's 3rd Party Consultant or Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider.
Work with the design team to provide project specific transition details support.
Work with Owners, Architects and Consultants to provide specifications for building enclosure performance warranties provided by Tremco CPG.
Work with construction teams to flip non-Tremco CPG Projects into incorporating multiple Tremco CPG Companies products onto their projects.
Collaborate with other Tremco CPG Companies' team members to continually improve upon the Enclosure Design Solutions Services and Construction Quality Control Program and promote products within the Tremco CPG Companies.
Work with the Regional and local Tremco CPG Company Technical Sales Reps on projects developed under the Construction Quality Control Program.
Work with the appropriate Tremco CPG Brand Partners in transitioning new construction projects to Tremco's six-sided Asset Management Program.
Collaborate and work with the Building Enclosure Science Team, the Sustainable Test Facility, and the Tremco CPG Company Technical Reps.
Use SalesForce to track and communicate their projects information among team members.
Present at the Local and National level to architects, construction managers, consultants, and industry organizations.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree required from a four year college or university (Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Building and Construction Technology or related field preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
Four to Ten years in construction related fields, architecture, engineering, forensic investigations, or commissioning experience.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Building Enclosure Certificate - BECxP (or attain within two years of hire if not possessed at hire date from IIBEC or University Wisconsin Madison)
CSI - CDT (within a year of hire if not possessed at hire date)
CABS (or attain the Certified Air Barrier Specialist designation within a year of hire if not possessed at hire date.
Ability to read and review design drawings and project manual.
Understanding of building science as they apply to design, construction, and lifecycle performance of a structure.
Ability to provide transition details to ensure the design is contiguous to mitigate water and air infiltration, and thermal transfer to ensure the performance desired is attained.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, hear, and lift up to 10 lbs.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $99,222.00 and $124,027.00 plus a 20% bonus opportunity. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
