The Sales Manager (SM) will build, develop and lead a team that is focused on providing clients with an exceptional client experience by presenting financial solutions to meet the clients' needs. By focusing on the client, doing the right thing, and striving to make a difference, the team will build long-lasting client relationships. The SM is accountable for driving new client acquisition, retention and growth of client relationships, as well as growing non-interest revenue. In additional, the SM is responsible for building strong internal partnerships with Commercial, Wealth & Brokerage, Mortgage, Treasury Management and Consumer Lending to meet client needs and contribute to the growth of the Market in which they serve. The SM will also support their teams to close deal opportunities with small business and non-profit clients. The SM will create a team-oriented environment and will foster associate satisfaction through coaching, career development and support. The SM will build and maintain strong community alliances and integrate into the communities they serve. The will act as a mentor for onboarding new associates within their specified market/segment. The SM is responsible for adherence to all compliance and regulatory procedures including, but not limited to: BSA, Check 21, CIP, CRA, HMDA, Reg B, Reg D, Reg E, Reg CC, Truth in Savings, Privacy Compliance and the Patriot Act.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
The SM will consistently maximize opportunities and develop high performing teams by managing and driving key behaviors focused on inside sales process centered around:
Building a personal clientele
Retention of clients
Manage assigned book of business (Small Business only)
Cross selling and increasing share of wallet
Managing fee income and expenses
Relationship building and a focused leadership approach around:
Increased share of wallet
Development of high performing inside sales and service teams
Overall coaching and motivation of sales center managers(staff meetings, sales center visits, coaching sessions)
Soft skill training
Develop associates through observational coaching, joint sales calls, and utilization of the coaching model
Development of prospects and supporting retention by being outside their office, engaging with clients, internal partners, managers and retail associates
Ensuring team has an urgency to achieve consistent high levels of client retention, share of wallet, and client service through a client centered approach.
Create organic growth through prospecting within designated geography and across existing clients
Partner with appropriate internal constituencies to bring appropriate level of expertise to the client/prospect
Partner with Marketing to develop region-specific calling efforts
Schedules and executes sales calls and appropriate follow-up meetings and activities
Develops professional business appropriate relationships in the community which provide a positive impact on the business results of the region. Actively participate in the civic activities with community organizations in the region.
Achieves sales goals and manages pipeline activities
Tracks, reports and communicates business results and activities to internal FFB management
Develops and sustains "Clients for Life"
Outside Sales Effort & Collaboration in Market
Develop strong business relationships with partners focusing on deepening client relationships and cross-selling.
Maximize community visibility through active participation in community groups (Chambers of Commerce, BNI, Rotary, Non-profit and charitable organizations, organized community events, and other networking opportunities.)
Integrate well into the communities they serve
Evaluating community needs to effectively deliver community development products and services.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job:
3-4 years of demonstrated leadership of coaching, management and/or mentoring in a retail environment.
3-4 years demonstrated prior success with achievement of performance goals.
Must have working knowledge of policies and procedures of all bank products.
Associates' or Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent management work experience strongly preferred
3-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals.
Demonstrated success with consultative, needs-based selling
Strong product knowledge related to consumer and commercial deposits, investments, consumer loans, business loans and treasury management.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with consumer and small business credit
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of the bank's financial education curriculum, and effective delivery to appropriate audiences

Occasionally lifts and carries up to 50 lbs.
Frequently lifts and carries up to 10 lbs.
Frequently sits, stands, walks and drives.
Compliance Statement: The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by State and Federal law and regulation, as well as all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures. This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.
