The Operational Technology Software Engineer Intern contributes to improving current software by working with our in-house software engineers to program software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of multiple programming languages for example, Pascal, Python and C++. This position performs other career related responsibilities as assigned.
Develops New or existing software products for internal UPS Material handling systems
Coordinates with Corporate BaSE(Buildings and systems engineering) groups, Internal customers, vendors, and consultants to determine project requirements from overall system designs to obtain appropriate solutions (e.g., software, hardware, processes, etc.)
Creates estimates for project timelines
Creates, implements, and performs testing for applications
Creates user, support and technical documentation
Demonstrates awareness of the DEVSECOPS framework
Knowledge of standard programming practices and software lifecycle
Demonstrates understanding of basic project management processes, including the planning of action items and resources
Communicates quality assurance methodology and explains desired outcomes of testing as it pertains to project life cycles
Recent graduate or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related
