The Clinical Epidemiology Program in the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology and Mongan Institute is seeking a full-time Data Analyst. The principal investigators are physician scientists with a clinical focus on drug allergy, vaccine allergy, vasculitis, COVID-19, and IgG4-related disease. Our research is funded by the NIH, Foundations, and Industry. This research uses methods of clinical epidemiology to analyze prospectively-collected data and retrospective large data/health services data. Analysts will have the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team with other data analysts, research coordinators, project managers, and a senior methodologist.
Example projects include:
Allergy/Immunology
- Improving Equitable Access to Penicillin Allergy De-labeling: Multi-site study to determine patient, societal, clinician, and institutional factors associated with PCN allergy de-labeling.
- Assessing penicillin allergy evaluation approaches for patients with a reported penicillin allergy.
- Assessing cost-effectiveness of penicillin allergy evaluations
- Determining the epidemiology of, and risk factors for, drug allergy
- Assessing the clinical and immunologic phenotypes of reactions after COVID-19 vaccines
- Epidemiology of severe cutaneous adverse reactions, such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
Rheumatology
- The impact of COVID-19 on patients with rheumatic disease, including risk factors for infection and long-COVID as well as the outcomes of infection and long-COVID
- Determining the effects of different treatment and management strategies on outcomes in patients with vasculitis and IgG4-related disease
- Identifying circulating biomarkers (e.g., lipids, antibody levels, proteomics) of disease activity and outcomes in patients with COVID-19, vasculitis, and IgG4-related disease
