As a Lead Mechanical Engineer on our Baby/Child Care Team, you'll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.



Incumbent reports to the Reliability Manager. He/She has broad reliability responsibilities for technically complex processes, plant equipment, and facilities. He/she provides tactical leadership for maintenance skilled resources and reliability engineering groups to deliver improved asset performance.




Essential Accountabilities:




  • This position owns the health of the Failure Elimination Cycle (FEC) system, and works with departments across the plant to ensure top reliability issues are being addressed. Provides tactical leadership for reliability analysis and failure elimination. Execute processes and standards for FEC that drive reduction in major failures year over year and drive reduction in year over year maintenance costs.




  • Utilize Reliability Analytics and Solutions Center to share and swipe solutions to bad actors and drive reliability improvements




  • Work with Engineering and Operations to apply and build capability in FEC, Lowest Parts Life Cycle Cost (LPLLC) and Design for Reliability (DFR).




  • Develop and drive lubrication program improvements: including lubrication requirements, types, lube routes, and frequencies. D




  • Develop training for team for proper lubrication practices and completion of lube routes. Manage overseeing the lube room based on 5S principles and apply standards for use according to environmental standards.




  • Work with team to provide methods to track improvements in reliability that enable confirmation of countermeasures.




  • Develop and publish reports & trends showing progress and impact of reliability tools to be shared with asset, plant and global networks.




  • Support development of strategic plans for reliability improvements in the facility




  • Incorporate Lean Six Sigma in problem solving for complex, multivariable or appropriate problems




  • Work with Mill and Staff engineering related to projects to incorporate mill inputs relative Operability, Maintainability and Reliability




  • Understand and apply design for reliability principles.






About You

You're also a college graduate with a degree in Advanced Engineering or a scientific discipline related area, authorized to work in the United States, and have at least two years of continuous work experience.



To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:


Position typically requires a Bachelor's in engineering or relevant scientific discipline and 3 - 5 years of related experience.




Preferred Qualifications:




  • The incumbent would typically have experience in Engineering, Operations, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Maintenance. Lead Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Projects




  • Experienced with LEAN Manufacturing and problem solving








  • Desired Qualifications:




  • Experience in multiple mills, product systems and staff experience is highly desired




  • Experience with SAP is highly desired
