RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking an Application Software Developer 3 - Core Systems.

Responsibilities:


  • The Application Software Developer partners with the Business stakeholders and Product team in an Agile context to capture the business problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups

  • Familiar with the Agile development lifecycle and can participate in the various Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand-up, Backlog Grooming (Refinement), Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective

  • Ensures change control and change management procedures are followed within the project team as they relate to requirements

  • As an Application Software Developer, you will participate and contribute in the entire implementation process for new applications and enhancements to existing applications

  • Provide input on the overall solution design

  • Build/Test applications (primarily)

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement basic performance tuning

  • Responsible for ensuring solution meets business needs

  • Production Support activities

  • The Application Software Developer will perform system validation as needed in support of general enterprise network changes







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience

  • Completion of a technical training program (e.g. LaunchCode, FDM, etc.) may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Critical and analytical thinker

  • Working knowledge with Agile work management software tools such as Jira

  • Ability to work as part of a team and in a fast paced environment with continuous changing priorities and tight timeframes

  • Ability to think logically in solving assigned problems and to present recommendations or innovative solutions with clarity in written and graphic form

  • Comfortable working with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

  • Must be able to communicate business solutions to management for review and approval both verbally and in writing

  • Comfortable working with various communication tools such as Outlook, Skype, Zoom and MS Teams






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
