About the role:
As the Director, Senior Leader Assessment and Development, you will play a significant role in the design and implementation of key talent programming and processes for our most senior leaders. You will Join Takeda as a Director, Senior Leader Assessment and Development where you will collaborate closely with your peers in the Global Talent Development CoEi team, embedded Human Resources Partners and leaders. As part of the Talent Management team, you will report to the Head, Global Talent Management.
How you will contribute:
Strategic Leadership
In partnership with key stakeholders, lead the design, development and implementation of the Senior Leader Development workstream. You will lead internal and external research, create and execute a project plan and ultimately determine how this new work will be executed across the globe.
Senior Leader Development
Conduct in-depth individual assessments to provide coaching to senior leaders and other leaders, groups, or teams
Develop and deliver a suite of senior leader development offerings including: university partnerships; executive coaching; action learning; and development planning.
Evaluate and demonstrate the effectiveness of senior leadership development and talent management programs
Create enterprise process for managing executive coaching and showing value
Review and create assessments, ensuring they are valid, reliable and legally defensible
Team Management
Lead a team of talent development professionals; define the appropriate team structure, roles and responsibilities. Establish objectives and priorities while developing capabilities within the team.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum of an advanced degree in a behavioral or social science discipline (I/O, OD, Clinical Psychology, etc.) or MBA with applicable human capital consulting industry experience
10+ years total work experience, with five years of experience focused on leadership assessment, senior leader development and coaching.
At least 1 year of experience creating assessment tools
Must have demonstrated expertise in conducting interview-based individual contributor and leadership assessments, drawing meaningful and practical conclusions from behavioral and personality assessment instruments, and making recommendations for development and selection decisions
Experienced as a people leader, leading teams in executing client work, including creating plans, engaging team members, and overseeing quality of work deliverables
Experience gaining support of senior leaders through effective presentations and consulting to recommend courses of action to improve organization performance
Experience overseeing executive coaching programs
Experience designing and managing experienced teammate development programs that are inclusive of the 70-20-10 development framework
Project management experience
Experience leading people and influencing up and across a complex organization
Experience extracting data from systems and putting it into a presentable format
Interact, influence, and collaborate with employees and management across all levels
Must have and a willingness to work under tight timeframes with multiple team members
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of HR and Company data
Willing to travel 10%
