Job Description:

Full time opportunity for a Program Assistant in our Adult and Community Services program in Modesto.
Program Assistant are members of an integrated, multi-disciplinary service team. Program Assistants are often the first point of contact in the office for clients.
Requirements:

High school diploma.
One year of training and/or experience in an office setting preferred.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
Strong computer skills and data entry.
Bilingual in Spanish required.
A valid California driver's license with less than two minor moving violations is required of staff who have driving duties to meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency's insurance company.

Essential Job Functions:

Must be able to type proficiently.
Proficient with various computer software.
Ability to enter data in a timely manner.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, follow up on work in various stages of completion and meet deadlines.
Sound personal qualifications (i.e., maturity, stability, high moral standards, and sound mental health and physical ability to perform job duties)
Ability to maintain confidentiality of agency business, clients and employees.
Demonstrate proficiency in resolving unexpected events and circumstances
Due to the State Public Health Officer Order of August 5, 2021: COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate, this position works in a designated health care facility that requires workers to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, by September 30, 2021, and receive a booster dose by February 1, 2022. Workers may be exempt based upon qualifying medical reasons or religious beliefs but will be subject to weekly diagnostic screening testing.

Responsibilities:

Answer multi-line phone system.
Schedule appointments for program staff.
Create and/or maintain client charts.
Ensure program forms are available and up to date.
Performs data entry and ensures the accurate maintenance of computerized files and rosters.
General filing and copying.
Attend weekly staff meetings and compose staff meeting minutes.
Prepare and participate in monthly peer review.
Maintain waiting room to include sanitation of toys.
Access client records for filing, medication appointments or when requested by clinician, medical provider or supervisor.
Manage and monitor chart access and movement.
Order and maintain office supplies and additional items as needed.

Joint Commission Requirements:

Responsible for preventing and controlling infection.
Responsible for maintaining a culture of quality and safety.
Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention.
Properly administer the C-SSRS to help prevent suicide (not just children).

Other:

Attend all required meetings.
Report any suspected child or dependent adult/elder abuse or neglect immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
Report any client imminent danger to self or to others or gravely disabled immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable.
Other duties as assigned.
