Manager, Incentive Comp

About the role:

As the Manager, Incentive Compensation you will report to the Director, Incentive Compensation and will be the critical business partner responsible for the design and implementation of effective incentive compensation plans and policies for an assigned Business Unit. You will be an integral business partner overseeing the end- to- end Incentive Compensation process from vendor management to effectively partnering with business stakeholders. You will partner closely with US Sales leadership, Finance, Human Resources, Compliance, and DD&T

How you will contribute:

The role will be required to have strong communication skills, leadership and project management skills, and be an effective liaison between the business and the Incentive compensation team/vendor. As the liaison between the Business Unit and the system vendor, you will lead discussions, act as the Incentive Compensation subject matter expert, and be the primary IC point of contact for the Business Unit.


  • As the primary point of contact to the business and sales leadership, lead overall sales compensation, commission, and incentive strategy and design for an assigned business unit.

  • End to End accountability and management for thekey deliverables, including quarter-end IC administration, financial analysis, report design and process improvement initiatives.

  • Influence business decisions, issue resolution, and business alignment within Commercial Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Analytics & Insights teams.

  • Effectively communicate and present to senior leadership the incentive compensation strategies and plan performance.

  • Collaborate with external vendor and internal cross-functional teams to drive successful plan administration of accurate and on-time delivery of incentive compensation payments.

  • Function as subject matter expert and provide strategic thinking on incentive comp programs, including commissions, contests and annual awards.

  • Responsible for defining and approving business rules on sales crediting, eligibility, exceptions and reconciliation procedures and ensure proper governance is followed per corporate guidelines.

  • Lead change management projects involving new data integrations, reports and processes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


  • BA/BS degree; relevant graduate degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical Industry experience

  • 5+ years of Incentive Compensation Design/ Sales Operations/ Analytics/Call Planning with pharmaceutical manufacturer or vendor/consultant company servicing the pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Project Management Experience

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment, effectively partnering with individuals across functional areas and at various levels within the organization
