Overview of The Role



The Senior Procurement Manager - Indirect Procurement will support the US division and will be overseeing the Indirect spend for the business. This role will proactively develop, maintain and execute category and supplier strategies for our Indirect category portfolio in collaboration with our business partners. The Indirect category portfolio has wide breadth and depth, ranging from Equipment, Logistics, to Temporary Labor. The ideal candidate must be able to build and maintain highly effective relationships internally and externally, have a passionate focus for success, commitment to continuous improvement and a relentless drive to succeed.



How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:



  • Develop a deep understanding of current category spend and supplier landscape. Work with key stakeholders to understand category objectives while reducing cost, risk and enhancing category benefits.

  • Create and develop category strategies with business partners to oversee planning, sourcing and selection of new suppliers, implementation of new program, and develop data metrics to measure category and supplier performance.

  • Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to lead contract negotiation with suppliers; develop negotiation approaches, and acceptable terms and conditions through contract completion and identify key benchmarks to measure contractual arrangements.

  • Communicate broadly to all levels of the organization the category plans, benefits, and work to ensure successful adoption of the category plans. Program compliance and performance will need to be monitored and communicated to the broader organization. Action plans will need to be recommended if programs are not meeting requirements.

  • Build pipeline of future success by identifying cost-reduction opportunities for both short and long-term opportunities.

  • Develop a culture of long-term savings projects to focus on procurement cost reduction without compromising supply assurance, quality, or other areas as identified by key stakeholders. Projects may include category rationalization plan(s) to optimize existing suppliers/SKUs to deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement, and innovation.




You Are Best Suited for The Role If You Have the Following Qualifications:



  • Education - Bachelor's degree in related field

  • Experience - 10+ years of experience with professional services/indirect procurement

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional negotiating skills, along with a strong presence and ability to influence others, including senior leadership

  • Strong communication and project management to demonstrate project status, key actions, risks and opportunities

  • Self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-orientated and fast paced environment; Ability to navigate in unstructured environments while building and maintaining trust with internal partners.

  • Superior interpersonal and presentation skills with proven track record of success in prior roles

  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills to problem solving with a focus on managing within a team environment with strong attention to detail and sense of urgency

  • Proactively work to resolve performance issues with assigned suppliers to ensure effective and timely resolution

  • Knowledge of Ariba and SAP, a plus.
