As a Security Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Security and Risk Team for the Americas. You will be responsible for providing effective security support and guidance while providing oversight to the US Business Unit. You are also responsible for adhering to and enforcing the Menzies Aviation Security Management System (SeMS) guidelines and codes of conduct, driving standardisation of best security practice, foster continuous improvement, and optimise the security performance of the US Region.

Key Responsibilities
Implementation of security procedures, standards, and practices
Advising on physical security issues pertaining to the operation of the company
Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations
Maintaining a working liaison with regional management to ensure they understand the SeMS requirements.
Advising on all matters of training, recruitment, and vetting in aviation security
Perform investigations as required and provide oversight and guidance on regional investigations.
Monitor and review security reports in preparation for presentation to senior leadership.
Ensure all security incidents are fully investigated at station level.
Carry out Security Threat Assessments as required (e.g., new start-ups and high-risk areas)
Providing timely reports to management as required
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Director of Security and the SVP Risk Americas from time to time.
Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practice especially those relating to safety and security.

Qualifications
Higher education diploma, degree or equivalent in security, or related studies (aviation security qualification is beneficial)
Enforcement Agency, Aviation Security or equivalent background with practical experience and knowledge of working within a regulated operation.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience at management level within aviation ground handling and cargo operations
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in investigations
Working knowledge of, or experience in Emergency Response Planning, Contingency Planning and Business Continuity Planning
Self-motivated, disciplined and with flexible attitude to change.
Hands-on, practical approach to providing solutions in a challenging and dynamic business environment, with good organisational skills.
Prepared to travel internationally, sometimes at short notice including temporary secondment on a support/coaching basis at other locations and overseas.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels and from different geographical and ethnic cultures.
Fluency in written and spoken English with ability to work in an international environment.
Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must possess and maintain a valid passport.
Will have to undergo CRC and CTC vetting, failure to receive clearance will result in termination of employment.
