Under minimal supervision ensures real-time and accurate inventory levels are maintained for the Salida facility's Receiving, MPL, and Distribution Center departments. Develops daily reports for site and corporate leadership detailing storage capacity, total shipments, total PPO, etc. to help facilitate supply chain coordination and operational decisions. Identifies inventory discrepancies as they occur and enacts the appropriate procedures to resolve error.

Job Description:

• Reviews the delivery of product ensuring that product is not mixed upon receipt.

• Creates, reviews, corrects, or voids Stock Order Transfer (STO's) as necessary.

• Generates grower tags to facilitate the accurate receiving/tracking of product and the timely payment to Grower Members; makes corrections to grower tags as necessary.

• Validates shipping weights on incoming and outgoing STO's; conducts in root cause procedures when shipping weights do not match.

• Creates Huller receipts to match the shipping documentation.

• Develops inventory entries and tags for manufacturing operations at MPL1 and MPL2, enacts status changes when required.

• Creates MPL Report Recaps that details product usage, tracks man hours and downtime, MPL weekly yields, etc.

• Visually confirms MPL cycle counts by recounting product and verifying the numbers against system figures.

• Tracks Distribution Center product loss and gains; makes adjustments to SAP for figures that are within tolerance.

• Engages in research to identify causes for out of tolerance discrepancies.

• Conducts cycle count of both product and packaging on a daily, weekly and monthly basis using various methods in order to maintain high level of inventory accuracy; confirms cycle counts against system figures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum level of education required

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience

• 2 years of inventory or finance/accounting administrative support experience.•

Other required type(s) of functional experience (e.g. Production/Operations, Accounting, Inventory Control, etc.)

• Experience using inventory management software.

• Skilled using office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.).

• Experience making basic decisions based on inventory guidelines which supports business operations.

• Required to work weekends or overtime as scheduled.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES (Specialized education, specific software experience, etc.)


  • Almond Production/Operations experience.

  • SAP experience. Good decision making skills

  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Office environment demands including frequent speaking both in person and over the phone; writing, reading files, reports and PC screen. Prolonged sitting at computer terminal. Regular vision concentration for reading and checking reports, forms and data entry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Standard office setting with typical office equipment and controlled temperatures. Occasionally requires walking out to warehouse to verify counts where forklift traffic, almond dust is present.
