Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity within our Global Information Services (GIS) organization for an experienced leader with a proven track record in leading organizational change This is a critical leadership role enabling our global 2023-2027 technology plan to transform into a tech forward, innovative, and resilient organization to drive Illumina's continued growth. This enterprise-wide role supports the people side of change, managing the delivery and adoption of change to business processes, technology, organizational structure, and culture. This includes creating and implementing change management strategies and plans, to maximize employee adoption while minimizing resistance. The primary responsibilities span three core areas: communication, training and change readiness/management. Success in this role will be measured across these areas with a focus on the management of stakeholders across the entire change lifecycle.

Responsibilities


  • Lead the successful delivery of change within the disciplines of a defined enterprise change management methodology, org or role design, stakeholder identification and management, sponsorship alignment, communication planning, training or performance support and organizational readiness.

  • Define and implement change management strategies and plans that fit the scope and intended outcome of a planned change (organization, process, technology, and culture)

  • Drive adoption through effective change impact assessments, change management, communications, and training across global stakeholder groups

  • Design and implement a change management framework with supporting processes to support adoption of changes

  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications at all levels throughout the organization

  • Influence and support senior leaders and executives to fulfill the change sponsorship role

  • Provide direct support and coaching to help leaders transition their organizations through related changes

  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs

  • Implement a dashboards and visual management systems to monitor the amount of change tied to in-flight and planned efforts to effectively manage the health and risk of change across the enterprise.

Experience/Education


  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years of experience.

  • Experience in organizational development, organizational behaviors, communications, information technology, or higher education preferred.

  • Domain Expert in change management principles, methodologies, and tools

  • Able to work, influence and communicate effectively at all levels in an organization

  • Experience developing relationships and delivering customer-focused service

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

  • Ability to thrive in a culture that prides itself on moving fast and embracing change

  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills

  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges

The estimated base salary range for the Organizational Change Leader; Technology, Strategy & Operations role based in the United States of America is: $180,100 - $270,100. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
