JOB SUMMARY

The Training and Development Manager will align training with organizational career development programs to support the growth and upward mobility of team members at The ROW. This involves understanding the needs and priorities of the business and subsequently translating these into positive solutions. This newly created role will be the primary architect of the framework and talent solutions that will be foundational to the continued success and growth of the organization. In this position, you'll have the opportunity to develop, lead, and measure the effectiveness of a comprehensive training and organizational development strategy, along with the implementation and delivery of training for leadership and team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assess business challenges and implement organizational effectiveness strategies to address these challenges. Monitor progress and suggest continuous improvements.
  • Create overall strategy and roadmap to deliver on a robust training and development agenda that is aligned with business needs by conducting needs assessments, curriculum delivery and program coordination
  • Partner with department heads and senior leadership to identify training and development needs, provide solutions that close experience gaps and ensure training, learning, and development programs nurture our culture and drive business outcomes
  • Provide development support and coaching to the leadership of the company, HR team members and department trainers, acting as an internal consultant on organizational development and talent solutions
  • Create, drive and manage the talent review process, succession planning, new hire orientation, LMS training library, internships, tuition reimbursement, compliance training, health & safety training and performance evaluations
  • Lead projects and/or participate in department projects and initiatives as deemed necessary
  • Assess workforce trends and provide solutions to reduce turnover and improve engagement and bench strength across the organization
  • Conduct or facilitate required and recommended team member training sessions, personal development classes, and support change management efforts
  • Work with the HRIS Manager to conduct follow-up analysis of all completed training to evaluate and measure results, modify programs as needed, and communicate effectively
  • Review existing training programs, identify problems and opportunities, suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry
  • Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs
  • Prepare and implement training budget and ensure training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget
  • Obtain and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media
  • Plan, organize, facilitate and orders supplies for employee development and training events
  • Partner with the Communication and Events Manager to develop and maintain organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards, newsletters and emails to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
  • Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff
  • Provides high level administrative tasks and provide exceptional customer service to New Hires and Employees
  • Provide an in-depth dive into the company's business dealings and processes and then analyzes and converts the information into meaningful and insightful data to improve operations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


  • Five years of industry experience with deep and broad knowledge in training, organizational and leadership development
  • Experience with needs assessment, curriculum delivery and program coordination
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and continuous learning in the field
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, coaching, communication and consulting skills
  • Self-starter with strong results and success in moving business toward long-term goals
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands on
  • Proven experience in building strong consultative partnerships with diverse people across multiple functions. Must be a strong team player and collaborator.
  • Proven track record of developing successful talent programs to include talent development, progression, and succession
  • Successes around cultural change and team effectiveness
  • Demonstrable analytical skills, utilizing various metrics to inform decisions and ability to adjust solutions/processes based on data
  • Program management skills - including managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track and excellent time management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to deliver results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various projects/programs simultaneously and drive timely results
  • Excellent presentation design and delivery skills - both live and pre-recorded
  • Experience in instructional design (online, virtual, and in-person)
  • Experience with LMS platforms
  • Well versed in various education learning styles (learn by doing, independent, collaborative, etc.)
  • You know how to make learning fun and more importantly, stick
  • Thorough understanding of training processes.
  • Ability to moderate large groups
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university required; graduate or post-graduate degree in Communications, I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Leadership or related field is highly preferred.

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate all office equipment
  • Must be able to maneuver around office and property
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist and work at a desk/counter when performing functions of the job
  • Office environment may include variable temperature and lighting levels
  • Casino environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting and noise
