The Director of Cell and Gene Therapy & Informatics is a member of the Marketing and Strategy leadership team and is responsible for leading the market planning and activities of the cell and gene therapy (CGT) portfolio (media, transfection) and informatics portfolio (MODA). This includes: developing and implementing marketing strategies and executing on plans, , managing budgets and resources, and analyzing market trends, competitive positioning, and customer insights, all with the goal of strengthening our partnership with our customers and expanding our market share within the developing CGT market .

The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketeer with  high energy, team leader/coaching abilities and the agility to meet changing priorities,  drive to exceed goals, set strategy and develop self and others.

Key responsibilities: 


  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans that align with the overall objectives of Bioscience and our divisional strategy

  • Engage with the commercial leadership to establish and achieve the portfolio  strategy and tactical objectives, deliver on customer commitments, sales and profit targets

  • Manage and coach a team of product and marketing professionals to drive lifecycle management, build and enhance the portfolio value chain, and champion best practice marketing activities

  • Analyze market trends to make data-driven decisions that drive agile marketing activities

  • Manage budgets and resources for marketing initiatives

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as sales to ensure marketing and sales strategies are aligned

  • Track and analyze the performance of the marketing campaigns and initiatives

  • Build and maintain customer and industry relationships, and company visibility necessary to drive the business strategy

Key requirements: 


  • Bachelor's degree;  MBA preferred

  • 5 or more years of leading a team to achieve and exceed KPIs and coaching/developing team

  • Significant Marketing and/or Commercial experience in Life Science/Informatics and/or Chemical industry; experience in cell and gene therapy market a plus

  • Experience in market research, segmentation and, analytics

  • Experience in portfolio analysis, developing financial models and business cases

  • Willing/able to challenge the status quo

  • 30% travel, including global travel

The full-time base annual salary for this remote position is expected to range between $167K and $212K. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the location of the successful candidate, qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge. Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including performance-related bonus, medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off (PTO), and more.
