Job Description:

Requisition ID: 57573 Title: Family Office Public Equity and Debt Portfolio Manager Division: Arthrex, Inc. (US01) Location: Naples, FL.

Main Objective:

Lead activities related to federal and state tax planning, usage of credits, employee benefits, domestic and international legal entity structuring, federal and state tax controversies, special projects and legislation, working closely with peer groups responsible for tax accounting, reporting, and international tax planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Performs all aspects of day-to-day management and oversight of public investment portfolios including portfolio construction, optimization, and investment selection within alignment to overall strategic asset allocation.

  2. Develop, recommend, and direct the execution of investment programs designed to achieve investment objectives.

  3. Review and analyze investment portfolios to develop the appropriate asset allocation and select underlying investment strategies.

  4. Maintain a current awareness of new investment strategies and instruments through regular contact with investment banks, industry professionals, family offices, and through personal research.

  5. Partners with others within family office on investment strategy, strategic allocation, investment selection, due diligence, monitoring, and reporting.

  6. Performs financial modeling, valuation analysis and synergy evaluation on potential and existing investment opportunities.

  7. Creates and implements due diligence processes and documentation standards related to direct investment activities. Ensures such standards are met and maintained throughout the investment cycle.

  8. Performs continuous review of all public investments, including benchmark analysis, industry review, valuation assessments, and performance to budget.

  9. Participates in the development of portfolio asset allocation models at top and subordinate levels of the organizational chart.

  10. Works directly with in-house tax professionals on ensure tax efficient trading of public securities.

  11. Performs market research on areas where public investments are made or are being considered. Performs benchmark analysis on current and potential holdings. Assess market performance, trends, regulatory changes, M&A, etc and reports on findings.

  12. Participates in investment review calls with investment bankers, outside consultants, attorneys, tax advisors, and other family office employees.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required

  • CFA, or CFP designation preferred

  • 10 years of Institutional or Ultra High End Individual Public Investment experience with AUM of $100MM or more required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


  • Ability to work on confidential information

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously

  • Capacity to manage competing priorities while keeping sight of big-picture objectives

  • Highly adaptable with excellent time-management and follow-through skills

  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results.

  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and maintain high level of attention to detail.

  • Strong investment research experience

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Tech savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Bloomberg Terminal, SEI Archway AtWeb, Various Investment Research applications, and Addapar.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
