POSITION SUMMARY


Overall objective is to ensure customers are treated with urgency while maintaining Holt Ag Solution management objectives.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES



  • Coordinate daily shop operations and assigns work according to skill level.

  • Communicates the status of all work in progress with shop supervisor.

  • Control operation costs including chargeable time, policy, rework and other shop expenses.

  • Assign and monitor work of shop trainees for accuracy and efficiency.

  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.

  • Provide technical support as required.

  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and work crew.

  • Perform final quality inspection.

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction by maintaining accuracy and efficiency of all shop work, as well as identifying needed repairs prior to a machine leaving the shop.

  • Monitor work in progress to meet labor hour and parts estimates.

  • Must be willing to troubleshoot and assist with technical problems.

  • Keep daily workload and shop scheduling system current.

  • Communicate with shop supervisor to relay information necessary to develop accurate and competitive repair quotes.

  • Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


Supervises employees in the Service Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employee; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.


    The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT


    Employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally work in outside weather conditions and exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. 


    COMPENSATION


    Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 Annually 


    Pay Range dependent on Knowledge, Skill, and Ability.
