Job Description

Job Title: Senior Solution Architect / Lead Developer

Location: Lexington, MA

About the role:

You will work directly with the Business Product Owner to develop strategy for executing roadmap requirements, communicating expectations to the development team. You will also provide guidance, support, and mentorship for development team on execution plans, technical decisions, testing process, documentation, and risk management.

How you will contribute:

• Directly oversee the design, structure, and functionality of the Project Portfolio management software system with user base of >3000 employees.

•Ensure the Project Portfolio Management application has high availability, scalable, and efficient software architecture

•Implement development work where needed for a given project (front end and back end)

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

•Minimum of a four year Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or other technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

•5+ years of development experience

•2+ years experience as Lead Developer and Architect

•Experience in development of both front-end and back-end software

components

•Back-end development experience with databases (SQL preferred) and high level programming language such as C#, Java, or Python

•Front-end development experience with modern UI frameworks and libraries such as Vue, React, Angular, or Meteor with data visualization libraries like d3.js or Plotly.

•Develop and manage high-level designs that outline the architecture of the system

•Develop applications, microservices and APIs

•Popular front-end frameworks / libraries, e. g. React, Angular, Vue.js, Electron, and Flutter

•Microsoft Backend Technologies: .NET/.NET Core/.NET 5, ASP.NET (Core) Web API, C#.

•Architecture patterns, such as SOA, CQRS, arc42

•Agile software development

•iSAQB® and knowledge of AWS or Azure are an advantage

•Establish guidelines for the development team to follow

Provide guidance and mentorship to other members of the development team

•Review code and provide feedback to ensure that it follows the established standards

•Participate in code reviews and providing guidance on design and architecture-related topics

•Work with the development team to resolve any technical issues that arise

•Stay informed on technical trends and continue education accordingly

Important Considerations:

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:


  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • Work in a cold, wet environment.

  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
