Who You Are...

As an Inventory Control Specialist III, this position oversees and monitors the operational activities within the warehouse including inventory, order pulling, product restock, and receiving. Works with peers in operations and other departments to resolve challenges and find solutions that will improve the overall operation. Manage inventory movements and arrange transportation for semi-finished goods between sub-contract operations and Bedford Plant.  Responsible for cycle counts, inventory accuracy and control procedures, related SAP/ERP transaction entries, and works closely with Plant Manager, Production Supervision, Planner/Scheduler, and Supply Chain.


 



  1. Oversees the daily activity of inventory control at the Bedford Plant and sub-contract locations

  2. Coordinates with Production Planning and Supply Chain to determine material movement requirements between sub-contractors and Bedford Plant

  3. Performs necessary SAP/ERP transactions for accurate goods movements and inventory recording in accordance with Item #2 above

  4. Maintain and report a real-time snapshot of inventory levels/$ values of all inventories at Bedford Plant and sub-contract locations

  5. Audits inventory information, stock status, and inventory balances for accuracy

  6. Conducts daily cycle counts and resolves issues identified

  7. Monitors productivity and throughput against demand and goals and takes appropriate action to meet demand and goals

  8. Develops, implements, and maintains inventory control procedures and processes

  9. Develops and implements strategies and procedures for effective control of materials

  10. Provides inventory reports and analysis to Management as needed

  11. Ensures 5S is in place and maintained

  12. Facilitates cross-functional meetings to resolve open issues

  13. Performs basic duties of Inventory Control as necessary

  14. Travels to Sub-contracts sites as necessary to complete inventory audits and resolve issues.

  15. All other duties as assigned.


 


What Do You Need...



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management, preferred

  • 2-year Associates Degree in related field, preferred

  • 4-6 years of inventory or warehouse experience

  • Proficient in use of ERP system such as Oracle or SAP; transaction code execution and report analysis

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Proven focus on customer satisfaction and ability to work as part of a diverse team

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Experience with LEAN and 5S
