An accredited acute care hospital located in central New York state is currently searching for an experienced Director of Laboratory Services to join their award-winning healthcare system.

The ASCP Medical Technologist will join a system that provides a wide variety of medical and surgical services including acute and inpatient care, oncology, imaging and radiology services, emergency and critical care, behavioral health, perioperative services, laboratory services, maternity and postpartum care, as well as outpatient services.

The ASCP Medical Technologist will join the laboratory team composed of Med Tech generalists, Clinical Lab Scientists, phlebotomists, and microbiology, hematology, blood bank, stat lab, and chemistry specialists. The ASCP Medical Technologist will understand how to interpret results and clinical significance of the findings, while ensuring discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Additionally, the ASCP Medical Technologist will be accountable for meeting deadlines, overseeing simultaneous projects, and working in a team-oriented environment. Ideally the ASCP Medical Technologist will hold a Clinical Laboratory Technologist New York State license, current ASCP certification, and previous Medical Technologist experience.
