Through PRECISION, we are working with global and national respiratory experts from clinical practice, patient advocacy groups and the payor and policy environment, to accelerate patient referrals, build clinical capabilities, expand healthcare system capacity and evolve healthcare policies.


Reporting directly to the Global Medical Head, the PRECISION Global Programme Director/ Senior Global Medical Affairs Leader will be responsible for the delivery of a range of elite health care change programmes; ranging from patient identification/ screening programs, clinical pathways optimisation and evidence generation.


This is a high-profile role that owns the cross-functional planning, alignment, coordination and delivery of PRECISION activities and solutions, ensuring appropriate scalability across multiple regions and measurable impact in line with KPIs/ objectives. The role will work closely with the broader cross functional teams to successfully deliver the PRECISION programme in all target geographies but with a prioritised focus in the US, China and Japan.




Typical Accountabilities




  • In partnership with the Precision Market Development Head; develop global Precision healthcare change strategy and drive implementation of core deliverables e.g. early identification/ screening programs, optimizing clinical pathways and evidence generation.


  • Build and develop and co-ordinate Precision global/ local teams; bringing together relevant operational/ leadership teams to ensure global delivery of the program.


  • Proactively identify high impact/ quick wins in addition to building a long-term strategy to healthcare delivery reform in target geographies; highlighting opportunities and barriers to implementation (technical, infrastructure, policy and legislative)


  • Support sophisticated, multi-layered programme delivery, through project management & business planning processes, which includes setting goals, objectives, resources, risk management, landmarks, financial planning and outcomes


  • Lead healthcare change digital initiatives, communications and engagement activities in relation to the delivery of the Precision programme


  • Maintain and nurture effective relationships, forming tight-knit collaborations with relevant professional organisations/ networks to shape programme strategy and facilitate programme execution


  • Chair external global Precision steering committees which include pulmonologists and representatives from scientific organisations.






Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience






Essential




  • Business and/or medical science degree with commercial experience is required


  • Experience in healthcare or biopharma industry, with a strong preference for experience in the respiratory therapeutic area and biologic medicines.


  • Strong leadership capabilities to lead and/or engage cross-functional working groups and teams


  • Validated experience of engaging with and using insights from external customers e.g. KEE's, patients and payers


  • Robust leadership skills - promotes excellence in People, Processes & Technologies and builds a culture of innovation


  • Excellent people management & development skills with a focus on empowering functional leads to meet and develop their potential


  • Ability to analyse sophisticated data and situations and develop a range of options/solutions


  • Ability to interpret performance data and to generate high level and detailed impact metrics for internal and external partners


  • Ability to motivate, empower teams to meet ambitious targets by providing direction, reviewing performance

Special skills/Abilities:



  • Ability to lead complex projects


  • Experience of product marketing - delivering new solutions to market (ability to shape a new proposition focussed on delivering value to partners)


  • Demonstrated ability to bring ideas to action in the following areas:


  • Product launch


  • Market shaping/ expansion


  • Unbranded / disease awareness HCP campaigns


  • Patient activation


  • In-depth understanding of commercial strategy, methodologies and tools (customer profiling and segmentation, market research techniques including patient journey mapping, competitive intelligence resources)


  • Track record of creating and deploying digital content & channels
