Job Summary:

• Works Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
• Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
• Performs necessary clerical duties with job and is able to read blue prints.
• The incumbent for this position must be familiar with a variety of the electrical field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• May lead and direct work of others.
• Provide support services in other fields throughout the Facilities Department

Qualifications:

• Requires at least 6 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Holds a journeyman electrician's license for Council Bluffs, IA.
• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, Life/Safety Systems, boilers, chillers, emergency power systems, UPS systems, pumps, motors, VFD's, and Energy Management Systems.
• Thorough working knowledge of computers
• Prefer prior Casino/Hotel experience.
• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry.
• Excellent logical thinking skills and strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent customer and employee relation's skills
• Written/verbal communications skills.
