The Assessment Program Specialist-External Testing reports to the Testing Services Manager. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating the effectiveness of a portfolio of testing programs and services including working closely with academic departments on industry certification and competency based testing needs for Career and Technical Education (CTE) and other community workforce training programs, coordinating the delivery of individual and group industry certification testing for Waubonsee students and promoting industry certification and competency based testing opportunities to students at Waubonsee. As a program expert, the Specialist creates program documentation, designs workflows, organizes training sessions, markets assigned programs, compiles reports, stays abreast of changes, manages vendor relationships, and maintains or achieves associated certifications for professional development.



Responsibilities



Manage all records and supplies necessary to implement and support the daily operations of all external testing programs in the portfolio working with the Technology Coordinator on software or equipment needs.


Create requisitions for purchases of test materials or units.


Compile and report data for assigned programs.


Ensure proper and accurate delivery of exams by providing comprehensive training on all programs in the portfolio.


Communicate and maintain relationships with all stakeholders related to external testing programs, ensuring that vital information is shared with all invested parties.


In collaboration with other Assessment staff, support the administration of all exams offered by the department including obtaining proper certifications, launching, scoring, reporting and troubleshooting as needed.


Maintain a secure testing environment by promoting and adopting Learning Assessment and Testing Services' test security and confidentiality agreements, respecting client confidentiality and maintaining sensitive testing information.


Observe principles of excellent assessment practice as defined by the American Association of Higher Education and the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines for Post-secondary Test Centers.


Attend meetings and conferences related to industry and position.


Perform other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications



Bachelor's degree required; preferably in education or related area.


Minimum of two years of experience in teaching, testing, training or counseling at the post-secondary level required.


Experience with multiple-platform computer operations in a network and Windows-based environment required, Preferred platforms include Microsoft Office, Outlook, TEAMS, chat and Banner,.


Excellent computer literacy skills to operate and troubleshoot in different platforms preferred.


Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.


Ability to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.
