Summary:

Kroll's Enterprise Data Group is looking for a Director, Data Architecture. Reporting to the Managing Director, Data Delivery, this person has extensive leadership experience and a rigorous technical sense to lead a team of engineers as well as the technical experience to architect and build. This person will be working alongside the Data Management, Demand and Governance teams and should have knowledge in each of these areas. Our team will be primarily focused on:


  • Building scalable functions, fault tolerant batch & real time data pipelines to validate/extract/transform/integrate large scale datasets inclusive of location and time series data, across multiple platforms
  • Optimize and expand Kroll's data platform, which will span across multiple cloud providers and services, data warehouses, and applications

RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Understanding business needs

      • Understanding data GTM strategy
    • Knowledge on Automation

      • RPA and Intelligent Process Automation

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Team and project leadership experience
  • Experience in setting up enterprise level data lake using any Bigdata platform like Hadoop, Azure Data Lake and etc...
  • Should be able to understand and guide the teams in implementation of Data Lake and ELT concepts in Cloud using ADB, ADF, Python, PySpark and etc.
  • Expertise with Azure in the Data lifecycle & AI domain - like Data Migration, Data Transformation, Data Modernization, Modern Data Warehouse, Analytics, Azure ML, etc.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, data security and modern processing techniques using data pipelines
  • Ability to discover, analyze, and find data patterns and turn them into data products
  • Experience using data to modernize a financial business
  • Quick to understand business needs and learn domain specific knowledge
  • Experience dealing with financial data products is a huge plus
  • Experience with business or process analysis
  • Experience leading with Scrum teams
  • Excellent communication skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working as a data architect or data engineer
  • Experience with Python/ PySpark ,Scala
  • Experience in setting up Enterprise data warehouse
  • Experience with ETL/ELT using various Cloud technologies
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with Data Lake, Delta Lake, databricks, spark, Hadoop
  • Experience in designing ER diagrams, database architecting
  • Experience of databases: relational and non-relational databases.(oracle, sql, postgres, cosmosdb)
  • Knowledge on Python libraries like Pandas, Numpy, spaCy or NLTK
  • Knowledge on snowflake, lakehouse
  • Cloud experience, especially Azure
  • Scrum, Agile, PMP, Data Analytics Certifications
