Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides the highest level of Guest Service. Under Supervision, monitor and enforce the rules for each arcade game, game and attraction. Responsible for making change and assisting guests with questions regarding the operation of arcade games, games of skill, redemption games and attractions and other Boardwalk information. Incorporates excellent customer service into daily activities.

Required to work weekends, nights, and holidays including starting as early as 8:00 a.m. and ending at late as 1:00am. Willingness to wear company issued uniform and conform to company grooming standards. May be required to wear a pager and carry a two-way radio. Willingness to learn and work at all stations within the department. Lead Arcade and Games Operators are able to work all hours assigned.

JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Greet every Guest and answer Guests questions and provide consistent, friendly and helpful guest service.
- Monitor and enforce rules and regulations for each different arcade and attraction.
- Make change for guests.
- Use OMRON (cash handling) and POS (point of sales) systems.
- Assist guests with operation of games or attraction.
- Clean games, arcade rooms and attractions includes vacuuming, sweeping and dusting.
- Answer guests questions in a friendly, positive and professional manner.
- Write reports regarding any broken or out-of-order games.
- Communicate with Arcade Technicians and Games Maintenance regarding necessary repairs for games.
- Maintain safety and sanitation requirements.
- Operate attractions.
- Observe guests using equipment and to prevent accidents and to report vandalism.
- May be cross-trained to operate all games and attractions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Lead Operator (in addition to the above)
- Wear a pager and carry a two-way radio.
- Assign and cover breaks.
- Write safety observations.
- Input data into the computer.
- Ensure that employees conform to company and department policies.
- Handle difficult customer service problems.
- Assist in station training of new employees.

RELATIONSHIPS INTERNAL:
All levels of Santa Cruz Seaside Company employees.

RELATIONSHIPS EXTERNAL:
Heavy guest interaction.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Must provide outstanding Guest Service. Prior cash handling and customer service experience is desired. Lead Arcade and Game Operator must be proficient in working the majority of the stations within the department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to understand U.S. currency and make change. - Ability to use OMRON and POS systems. - Ability to communicate effectively with guests and employees in a positive and professional manner. - Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to learn to handle difficult customer service situations. - Ability to follow safety practices and be safety conscious. - Ability to provide consistent, friendly, helpful and quality service to guests. Lead Arcade and Game - Knowledge of the operations of most work stations. - Ability to resolve difficult guest problems. - Ability to lead staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: -
Able to stand and work for up to 7 and a half hours at a time.
- Bi-manual dexterity.
- Able to move equipment including pushing, pulling, stooping and shoving.
- Able to work in a noisy environment and may work under black lights with theater smoke.
- Able to use arms and legs to operate equipment and to climb stairs.
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds from ground to waist height occasionally.
