GPI seeks a motivated individual to join our New England accounting team in one of our local offices. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be working with our stellar accounting team on various accounting tasks. In this role, youll balance multiple projects that could include any of GPIs wide variety of clients, including state agencies, municipalities, and private entities.
This position will offer a wide array of tasks, depending on the needs of the team. The ideal candidate will be looking to develop with our team, aligning with our corporate culture of organic growth. This position offers great potential for future progress and longevity.
What Youll Be Doing:
Reconciling and processing employee expense reportsSetting up projects based on client contracts in VantagePointMaintaining project related contract filesAssisting with accounts receivableAssisting with billing tasksGeneral accounting and office administrative tasks

What You Bring to the Table:
You have an associate degree in accounting or a related field or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.You have 2 to 5 years of accounting and/or invoicing experience.If you have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, thats great!If you have working knowledge of Deltek Vision or VantagePoint, even better!Any previous experience in the engineering industry is a plus.
