Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist - Full Time, Days (Culver City)

The Outpatient Program Therapist facilitates initial and ongoing clinical assessments; provides group, individual and family psychotherapy; functions as a case manager with assigned patients, completes treatment planning with interdisciplinary team, and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities/Duties


  • Conducts daily group psychotherapy as required and scheduled, conducts individual and family psychotherapy as required by the program.
  • Facilitates treatment modalities to address identified patient needs and goals. Modifies group interventions to meet the changing needs of the patients, monitors patient's response to interventions, monitors and documents patient's clinical status/progress and revises treatment plan and interventions.
  • Develops, documents, reviews and updates all individual patient treatment plans and documents all pertinent information in the patient's record.
  • Completes initial interviews, psychosocial history and initial case assessments and evaluations with assigned patients in a timely manner.
  • Assesses patient's clinical needs using sound knowledge of mental illness and recovery. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize needs and establishes specific, measurable, realistic, short and long-term treatment goals.
  • Actively involves the patient in the identification of his/her goals; assists the patient to establish a discharge plan for continued support of identified goals as well as involvement in leisure and social outlets.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Social Work, MFT required.Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or Social Work, MFT required.

Minimum Experience: One (1) year of post master's degree clinical experience in mental health setting preferred. Experience with facilitating groups. Demonstrates knowledge of mental illness and recovery. Demonstrates the ability to deal effectively with many people. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate patient care. Demonstrates the ability to apply clinical skills appropriately.

Req. Certification/Licensure: AHA Basic Life Support required. Management of Assaultive Behavior Certification required. Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Hollywood and Van Nuys Only required).
