Director Supply Chain Analytics and IBP at SDF Saputo Dairy Foods USA

This role will lead the Supply Chain Planning group integration activities within the Supply Chain group and cross functionally within Saputo (eg. Sales, Operations, Finance). In this role you will be responsible for leading the routine delivery/improvement of day to day information, cross functional business process alignment, decision making and execution of that is fact based, timely, and action oriented. Central to this responsibility is the leadership of the Divisional Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes. Goal is to orchestrate the timely delivery of key information that supports IBP (Integrated Business Planning) decision making and returns tactical and strategic direction from the IBP process back to the daily business via aligning ERP systems, transactions and business coordination processes.



How You Will Make Contributions That Matter



  • Day to Day responsibility to lead business process performance improvements that ensure 1) Demand is clearly understood and effectively communicated to the organization 2) resolve cross functional process issues that impact effective communication, visibility, coordination and execution of Saputo supply chain planning 3) Develop key reporting and analytical systems, KPIs

  • Information, Analytics and Controls: Lead Supply chain data analytics and reporting efforts to provide a single source of information for all integrated planning activities and supply chain metrics. Implement key Supply Chain performance metrics, standardized reporting, and daily cross functional procedures/business teams that convert information into timely action. Retire non approved sources of information within Supply Chain group

  • Integrated Business Planning: Lead USA division as a Global (Saputo) leader in aligning division to common "best practice" IBP processes and tools, and the direct sharing of SAP-APO information (demand/supply projections, capacity management, material requirements) to facilitate IBP process and strategic (>1yr) and tactical (< 1yr) decision making. Directly link decision making (IBP) to APO planning and execution and vice versa.

  • Business Process Improvement: Implement in coordination with Sr Managers cross functional business process improvements for better alignment and execution of the "Integrated Plan". This includes, but not limited to more efficient/effect information based business decision making process 1) Demand management change visibility and demand change (RFP, Listing-Delisting, Promotions) 2) Supply Network Change management and transition processes (product location extensions, manufacturing location changes and cost to serve 3) Customer Fulfilment and At-Risk Product processes and escalations. 4)Inventory management of WIP and Finished goods and projecting routine space needs

  • Change Management: Proactively partners with the leadership of various Saputo functions (Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Operations) to facilitate positive business process change. Specific focus is 1) align business activities processes within Supply Planning and Supply chain groups on use of available information 2) Daily (routine) optimization of cross functional processes. 3) Align information systems to approved sources, metrics and common 4) continuous review and removal non value-added activities. Objective is to ensure day in the life activities (users) leverage available information, and align their activities.

  • Project Management: Lead specific supply network change/optimization projects to redefine the Divisional Supply network.

  • Team Development: You will ensure an increasing rate of positive change by prioritizing individual and overall group competency growth in; problem solving, business process improvement, reporting and analytics, IBP processes, and change management. Identify and develops Saputo champions of these disciplines via 1) assigning key initiatives of increasing difficulty 2) challenging while supporting 3) engaging and recognizing.

  • Lead, coordinate continual cross functional training in IBP best practice, use of information sources and systems

  • Participates in Saputo cross divisional IBP workgroups, and will remain current with Saputo, CGP industry, Oliver Wight and SAP best practices for IBP processes.




You Are Best Suited For The Role If You....



  • 10+ years related experience. Multi-plant and/or function and/or company and/or industry preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain. MBA is a plus

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding implementing and using Supply Chain planning tools, and Integrated Business Planning process, end to end using an integrated planning software system.

  • Hands on experience managing one or more operating functions (Manufacturing, Warehousing, Transportation, Procurement, Technical/Corporate Services) in a CPG company. (preferred)

  • Broad cross functional experience understanding of supply chain, operations and functional support services teams (i.e., sales, manufacturing, finance, supply chain (warehousing, transport, customer service), procurement, Quality/technical services) in a short shelf-life product, CPG company. (Cheese and Dairy Preferred)

  • Demonstrated success aligning cross functional business activities/processes

  • Proven project management and leadership experience

  • Proven experience in transforming organizations and business processes

  • Demonstrated examples of cross functional change management, using influencing skills

  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing supply chain activities (preferred)
