Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for a Crane Operator. As a Crane Operator, you will operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, track mobiles/switch engine, and/or yard vehicles in order to move materials and products between workstations and/or receiving and storage locations.
Location: Newton, IA
Hours:
6:00AM- 2:30PM, M-F
Overtime and Overtime on Saturdays, as needed
What you’ll do:
Operate lift truck to move material
Spot for mobile crane
Operate scissor lift
Operate track mobile
Operate mobile crane for complex loading of finished product.
Operate 80 ton for plate steel and moving sections (Outside: 100%)
Tarp sections
Train and assure safety of all team members
Lead team by assigning tasks
Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
What You’ll Need:
Preferred Experience: Up to 2 Years
Preferred Certifications: Applicable Equipment Certification from Arcosa
Preferred Technical Skills: Ability to operate forklift, overhead crane, Combi-lift, scissor lift, Mi-Jacks, Genie lift and track mobile
Working Conditions:
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
Safety Activities:
Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
