JOB TITLE: Buyer-Temporary two (2) year contract

DEPARTMENT:  Supply Chain  

JOB SUMMARY

Procure of Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO’s) goods, Services, and Indirect purchases 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•    Ensuring compliance with all the active Purchase Policies 

•    Negotiating and identifying the most appropriate deal for CV, not just financially but also vendor’s  capabilities to achieve the required commitments 

•    Procuring:

o          MRO's 

o          Services & Contracts

o          Indirect purchases 

•    Assisting the financial team by ensuring the veracity/legitimacy of the vendor

•    Identifying Cost Savings Opportunities

•    Ensuring continuous materials sourcing

•    MRO’s Price Optimization Awareness

•    Identifying opportunities for Leverage in MRO procurement

•    Assisting on material returns (RTV’s), any discrepancies or claims as related to the purchase 

•    Day-to-day capacity utilization Supply Chain Advice

•    Plant RM and MRO’s Leverage Opportunities

•    Receiving activities as related to scheduling 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


•    Five years of experience in purchasing, planning, and vendor relations in a medical device/pharmaceutical-regulated industry. Preferable experience procuring MRO’s, Services, and Indirect purchases. 



WORK ENVIRONMENT

•    Generally, works in a closed environment, in office conditions, with a moderate level of noise and controllable changes in temperature

•    Needs to stand, walk, and may be seated for an extended period

•    Uses hands to feel, finger, or handle and reach

•    Could be required to travel

•    Extended work hours with a personal computer and programs to prepare documents or reports

•    Applies communication skills (advanced reading, writing, and technical skills) and mathematical concepts knowledge to perform work and coordinate with others

•    Needs to have high analytical capacity and level of professionalism and judgment to resolve problems

EDUCATION

Bachelor degree in Business Administration

EXPERIENCE

•    Five years of experience in purchasing, planning, and vendor relations in a medical device/pharmaceutical-regulated industry. Preferable experience  procuring MRO’S. Services and Indirect purchases. 

•    Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) with excellent oral and written skills

•    Knowledge in Quality System Regulations

•    Effective leadership

•    Problem-solving and decision-making skills

•    Willing to travel

•    Expert user of PC productivity tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
