Job Description:

  • Provides leadership, planning and management of all Constituent Events.
  • Leads and manages the development of special events on campus and offsite for internal and external audiences to fulfill the University mission.
  • Responsible for coordinating relevant University departments to provide the necessary event set-up, support and execution for various event types including, but not limited to conferences, meetings, special events, galas, etc.
  • Leads the campus reservations process for effective campus event coordination, exercises diligence in updating confirmations and ensuring related paperwork is completed within appropriate timelines.
  • Serves as the primary liaison to relevant campus departments involved in events such as facilities, police, multimedia and catering.
  • Serves as a resource to campus administrators, deans and directors for college and departmental events involving external audiences and high-profile events, provides advice and assistance regarding protocol, invitations and logistics.
  • Ensures the details of services provided by the Constituent Events Office smoothly carried out and with attention to detail and in anticipation of client needs.
  • Works to promote a positive and productive team dynamic among the department, including information sharing, best practices, and innovative leadership.
  • Assists and provides leadership to event operations as assigned.
  • Serves on various planning committees and event operations as assigned.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

  • Bachelors and 3 years experience

    Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
