Cell Lead

ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment, material conveying equipment, metering, and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. These products are marketed under such recognizable brand names as AEC, Sterling, Cumberland, Wabash and Carver.
 

The Cell Lead will be responsible for the following:

Production performance, Personnel development, and evaluation, 5S, Process Improvement, and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers and Area Supervisors. 

This position will not have any direct reports but will act as an extension of the Area Supervisor.  He /She will be the primary resource to oversee a segment of the Production team.  The objective is to lead a small team, mentoring them to eliminate waste, and develop a daily mindset for improvement as the expert for this area.

• Report out at daily Gemba meetings


• Develops strong relationships, mentor teammates


• Able to identify and overcome minor obstacles


• Interact with engineering to resolve ECRs (Engineering Changes)


• Processes Non-Conforming material


• Demonstrates integrity and a strong work ethic


• Identify safety and continuous improvement opportunities (PDCA)


• Assures compliance to standard and enforces company policies

• A qualified candidate will possess these requirements:
   



• High School education and 2+ years of manufacturing experience


• Good mechanical aptitude


• Problem solver with good oral communication skills


• Able to use MS Office software and ERP software daily
