Role Summary

Oversees the administration and operational activities for transfer agent fund operation and cash management activities, including reconciliations, transactions, settlements and controls. Provides leadership to team and establishes applicable performance objectives. Manages relationships with third-party vendors. Identifies, drives, and implements process improvement initiatives.


  • Administers a broad range of transfer agent activities, ensuring proper controls and validations are in place and that activities are accurate and compliant. Identifies quality, accuracy, or compliance deficiencies and corrects. Guides less experienced peers and support staff on preventing errors and interpreting process controls.

  • Manages activities enabled by an internal control environment that produces industry-leading accuracy and timeliness. Manages processes and provides guidance to teams managed to ensure the implementation of new policies to follow regulations. Executes cross-departmental and cross-divisional initiatives designed to improve accuracy, generate efficiencies, and reduce risk. Fields and manages queries from internal or external clients and follows through to resolution.

  • Serves as subject matter expert for transfer agent fund and cash management processes. Works closely with investment, fund accounting, and services operations staff, relationship managers, portfolio managers, and custodians to ensure a seamless and efficient client experience. Manages relationships with third-party providers, ensuring quality and performance standards are met and holding them accountable to established service-level agreements. Assists with the evaluation and selection of third-party providers. Oversees transitions to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers.

  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to quality review procedures in data analysis and reporting. Leads broad business unit-specific and broad organizational initiatives. Works with leaders to identify the areas of concern, offer recommendations, and manage the follow-up to ensure the areas of concern have been addressed in a timely manner. Responsible for individually contributing to or coordinating team members to accomplish the goals of the project and to ensure timely delivery of required materials and reports.

  • Responsible for the effective leadership and development of team members. May recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff and professionals, maximizing their individual contributions, professional growth, and ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.



  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience


Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
