This position is responsible for developing and executing on a long-term global marketing strategy for defined segment: Industrial OEM. Develops and executes corresponding annual marketing plans. The role requires the ability to work closely with Global Product Managers, regional sales and regional marketing management to ensure highly effective cross functional collaboration.  The position also serves as the strategic link between customers and sales force.  The position leads the effort to increase our visibility with senior decision makers in the industry while driving our participation in industry associations & events.

Defines Littelfuse Segment Strategy within the target segment


  • Collects and analyses market information and defines the business opportunities in the segment

  • Segmenting, Targeting, and Positioning of customer groups within the segment

  • Identifies growth trends and develops  economic leading indicators for forecasting

  • Develops scorecards and measures company’s progress in segment

  • Evaluates and manages strategic initiatives, acquisitions, alliances, & partnerships

Oversees sales and marketing execution in Segment


  • Collaborates with regional marketing communications teams

  • Creates channel value stream maps and customer personas

  • Supports and coaches local sales teams with Key Account activities

  • Works with regional sales teams to maintain an opportunity funnel for the target verticals.

Defines and quantifies product & solution opportunities for Littelfuse


  • Defines product portfolio strategy and road mapping process across all business units

  • Leads Voice of Customer activities in segment

  • Obtain insights into customers’ usage of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas, through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data

  • Communicates customer product and solution requirements

  • Recommends partnerships and acquisition targets

Owns focus area as subject and content internal expert


  • Formulates the customer needs for segment, based customer problems to be solved

  • Creates holistic Littelfuse value proposition transverse to all product lines

  • Supports marketing communications with target audience messages, customer persona

  • Creates detailed briefing materials and plans to drive content, strategy, and meaningful action

Serve as Littelfuse industry expert / primary evangelist in the segment


  • Participates in codes and standards committees

  • Speaks at industry conferences

  • Creates regular industry articles & blogging

  • Monitors competitor activities

  • Responsible for developing and nurturing relationships between org. and key customers

Education Requirements:


  • High school degree required.

  • College Bachelor’s degree required (Bachelors of Science or other Technical Degree is highly desirable)

  • MBA is desirable.

  • This job requires a great deal of quantitative thinking, analysis and communications.  As a result, formal education in these areas are required.

Experience

  • Minimum required work experience – 10 years in an Industrial or Electrical industry with strong knowledge and awareness of Circuit Protection technologies

  • Self-starter, ability to team effectively with all levels and departments of an organization, and a bias for action.

  • Strong analytical skills, PC tools including Power Point & Excel, familiarity with SAP/BW a plus

  • Good communication skills and presentation skills: must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in good written form.

  • Evidence of good organizational skills with history of handling multiple tasks within a rapid pace environment.
