TASK DESCRIPTION:

Electronics Technician Maintenance II (23182): The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician

Skill and Knowledge:  Shall have the ability to troubleshoot Avionics/Electrical Systems and related Sub-Systems malfunctions in various aircraft systems and be able to perform Field and limited Sustainment maintenance.

Responsibility:   Performs requirements in accordance with the procedures established in the PWS. Performs diagnosis and corrective actions, disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs, lays out work according to technical instructions and technical directives.  Determines what repairs, modifications, and part replacements are required. May be required to verify work performed by another for which he/she is qualified to perform.

Task Requirements:

1. Performs aircraft maintenance functions at the Field and limited Sustainment Level


2. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance support for assigned H-60 aircraft


3. Performs inspection, disassembly, repair, servicing, TD compliance, modification, assembly, corrosion control, preservation/depreservation


4. Maintain aircraft and aeronautical equipment to continuously support the assigned readiness posture outlined in in the activities plan and daily flight schedule


5. Aircraft maintenance action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means


6. Troubleshoot malfunctions in flight surfaces and controls, dynamic components and hydraulic systems.


7. Use hand tools, power tools, machines, specific and general aviation test measurement and diagnostic equipment, and sets kits and outfits (SKO).


8. Inspect, repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft components/sub components to include rigging of flight control.


9. Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

13. Requisition repair parts, materials, and consumable supplies through military supply system.


14. Maintain Logs and Records IAW ARMY PAMPLET 738-751


15. Perform any required maintenance operational checks (MOCs) IAW the appropriate aircraft manual upon completion of required aircraft work.


16. Perform any maintenance required throughout Ground-Run and Maintenance Test Flight and shall correct any deficiencies noted.


17. Ensure paper and electronic aircraft weight and balance (AWB) records are maintained and updated.


18. Perform other tasks as directed.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Three or more years’ H-60 rotary wing experience


2. Five or more years’ rotary wing maintenance experience


3. Familiarity and ability to use Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals IETMS.


4. Four or more years’ experience with ULLS-A


5. Basic Corrosion Control Course


6. Advanced Corrosion Control Course/Paint and Final Finish


7. Hydraulic Contamination Qualification


8. APU Qualification


9. Aircraft Jacking Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

1. Individual (I) Aircraft Maintenance Qualification


2. Two years aviation maintenance experience


3. Must be able to work shift schedules as required per Performance Work Statement (PWS)


4. Must be able work, work-week schedules i.e. M-F, Sn-Th or as required per PWS


5. Must be able to pass a background check


6. Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 “Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance or Secret security clearance as required for the position


7. Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft


8. Must be able to use hand and power tools


9. Must have dexterity to handle small parts


10. Must be able to deploy to support off station exercises and perform other support duties if required

 

Compensation

$28.28/hour

Other Compensation

Employees will receive a health and welfare fringe benefit of $2.65 for every hour worked.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
