Wood is recruiting a Planning and Scheduling Specialist to plan, schedule and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance activities within SAP. The role also involves the d evelopment of detailed work packages and work instructions.
Duties will include:
Development of detailed work instructions or work packages to ensure plant reliability for plant equipment
Schedule PMs to resources in an efficient manner taking into consideration the impact to equipment and plan uptime, resource requirements and HSE requirements to ensure optimal work execution
Support the creation of Predictive and Preventative Maintenance in SAP
Define Predictive and Surveillance Plans for maintenance Scheduling automation
Provide site-wide documentation control of all maintenance practices, procedures, and guidelines and managing the site-wide Maintenance
Develop and maintain a 12Month Schedule, 90Day Schedule and Weekly Schedule, in addition to the reconciliation of completed weeks' schedule and the rescheduling of incomplete work.
Run reports to measure and control work planning, event management, work execution and work improvement aspects to foster continuous work improvement of maintenance activities
Work within and drive the shut-down and turnaround planning processes
The coordination of services and materials required for work in the planning phase to the "ready to execute" phase
Support the update Maintenance Plans & Task Lists for all preventative maintenance planning requirements as required as observed through work close-out feedback and analysis
Provides guidance for efficient and effective execution of the required scope by identifying a logical sequence of job tasks
Ensure that risks (safety, environment, and costs) are identified and mitigated to ALARP (As Low as Reasonably Practicable) through the Work Instructions
Identifies task description, required resources, materials, services, tools, duration, and cost estimate of each task, and provides guidance for efficient and effective scheduling and execution
Ensure that accurate materials and services are identified and/or requested in planning to minimize impact of cost as well as delivery times on the schedule
Ensure PMs are planned consistent with the established site standards and in line with QA/QC and permit work expectations. Personal and process safety factors are included when determining method(s) of execution
Discuss all complex, e.g., multi-trade, high effort, high value, and safety critical corrective maintenance work with the maintenance and production team to improve the quality of the work pack as requested
Development and improvement of maintenance tasks, inclusive of Tasks Lists and Maintenance Strategies
Participate and lead maintenance workshops and reviews
Identify Spares for Maintenance Strategies, consumables and assemble Bills of Materials in support of the maintenance work
Participate in the annual Maintenance Budgeting and Annual Planning exercises
The location for this role is in Houston Texas and open to candidate in nearby locations.
Skills / Qualifications
Qualifications: BSc, BEng, BTech. Degree in mechanical technology or similar engineering discipline or equivalent.
Experience:
3 - 5 years' experience in Planning and Scheduling using SAP or Maximo, or similar CMMS or Planning & scheduling tools
Experience in the development of Maintenance Plans and Work Instructions
Experience in the operations and maintenance of Offshore or Onshore Oil and Gas production facilities and Natural Gas Processing Plants.
Strong leadership, decision making, mentor-ship, coaching and communication skills
Can manage evolving priorities and deliver on multiple commitments in a timely manner
Experience in the maintenance and testing of oil and gas, petrochemical, LNG, or manufacturing assets such as such as pumps, compressors, fans, valves, lubrication systems, gearboxes, refrigeration, and other machinery.
Capable of developing Technical Maintenance Methodologies
Knowledge of Master Data and Master Data development processes, rules governing the development of Master Data Technical Objects
Strong knowledge in the use of CMMS such as SAP, Maximo, and others
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
Job-Specific Skills:
Knowledge of maintenance processes including Condition-based and Prediction-based Equipment Health Monitoring, Criticality Assessments, Reliability-Based Inspection strategies
RBI Strategy and management tools and applications
Strong analytical skills. Capability in data analytics, database, and spreadsheet manipulation skills
In-depth application knowledge of process mapping and lean concepts
Awareness of the local statutory or regulatory maintenance requirements and risk management programs
