This is not an administrative position, although clerical tasks play an important role in organizing, managing, and keeping this position running.

The Clerk role is an important part of the Operations delivery and inventory teams and works closely with the Surgery Coordinator for instruction and direction. The primary responsibility is to accurately pick requested inventory and medical device products, pack the items meticulously, and either ship the package to Zimmer Biomet customers and clients, or to give the package to the Delivery driver who will hand deliver it to our customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

This position is very active, on your feet most of the day, and physically lifting and moving inventory from shelves to vehicles and beyond. This can include boxes weighing up to 50-lbs.

• Performs work functions to assist department management in accomplishing daily goals, including but not limited to, the picking of Finished Goods, packing of Finished Goods, maintaining inventory accuracy.


• Must maintain good housekeeping in all warehouse areas. Maintaining a clean, orderly (5S), and safe work environment, and meeting daily shipping requirements, by properly following department OP’s and company guidelines.


• Must be able to understand and perform the functions and procedures pertaining to the efficient operation of warehousing.


• Must be willing to learn our proprietary software program.


• Must be able to train and direct other personnel in their duties, both clerical and physical.


• Must be excellent at multi-tasking and working under pressure, and high stress at times to meet deadlines.


• Must be flexible with role and helping teammates when needed


• Potential for occasional local delivery driving


• Willing to participate in our on-call weekends. 


• This position is on their feet most of the day, and must be able to lift up to 50# packages.

• Willing to be trained in multiple areas including product knowledge, clientele, required software, and teamwork of this position.

Education/Experience Requirements

• HS Diploma, G.E.D. equivalent, or equivalent experience required.  (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Preferred.)


• Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering or other technical field helpful.

Travel Requirements

This position may include occasional local driving to and from clients.
