Recycle Helper/Laborer

Austin Industrial, Inc. - We are currently seeking a RECYCLE HELPER/LABORER to be based in IRON STATION, NC.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to operate/drive a forklift.

  • Keep pallets in the complex and empty cardboard bin, as needed.

  • Empty plastic in bins, that are at the trash compacter.

  • Crush, bale, and stack cardboard.

  • Band and load Gaylord boxes of recyclables onto trucks.

  • Band and load wood boxes and bad pallets onto trucks.                        

  • Pick up scrap metal hoppers and take to the steel yard. 

  • Empty trash dumpster. Assist the Shipping Department, as needed. 

  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be capable of working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Experience – 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.

Must pass drug screen and background check, as a condition of employment.
