The preferred location of this position is in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area. Erbe is willing to provide a relocation stipend for this position.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes physician and sales training events aligned with sales and marketing strategies.

  • Works with sales and marketing to create and implement KOL-specific training and general community along with corresponding training materials.

  • Provides work direction for clinical education team; this includes developing and leading highly effective team to accomplish established goals and objectives and to develop and maintain curriculum and supporting materials for customer education and sales training programs.

  • Develops expertise on company products, procedures, and disease-specific clinical studies and acts as a resource to customers and other company departments.

  • Identifies and implements appropriate instructional procedures or methods, such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, e-learning, simulation, etc. for company products and procedures; takes existing Erbe Academy materials and programs and add/subtracts/adapts those material to Erbe USA needs.

  • Formulates training policies, programs, and schedules based upon knowledge of identified training needs.

  • Measures the impact of customer and sales training initiatives and provides detailed reporting and recommendations to executive management.

  • Manages budget and monthly forecast process for training initiatives.

  • Ensures project milestones are established and met.

  • Provides input into company’s strategic plan.

  • Works with sales and marketing teams to monitor competitive landscape and clinical studies, then adjust sales training accordingly.

  • Manages and oversees all training equipment including Erbe demo equipment, scopes, and any other externally acquired equipment used for training purposes.

  • Oversees the maintenance of training records and works with quality and regulatory to determine training requirements for each position.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervisory responsibility for other Erbe Academy employees in United States.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


This position requires regular travel including some international.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related clinical field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

  • 10-15 years’ training experience required; strong preference for experience in a healthcare and/or healthcare sales setting.

  • Must have training experience across diverse disciplines.

  • Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information in a way that provides solutions to problem; critical thinking and sound judgment required.

  • Must be able to communicate complex information to all levels within the organization.

  • Demonstrated high quality computer skills including MS Office required.

  • Must be detail-oriented and produce high quality work in a high volume environment.

  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an appropriate and professional manner.
