Responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager include: - Design and execution of in-vitro and in-vivo experiments of cells and tissues. - Experimental data processing and interpretation. - Supervision and execution of molecular and cellular biology experiments. - Development, modification and maintenance of relevant hardware and software components. - Identification of potential problems or necessary changes in basic requirements/protocols and implementation of processes to address those situations. - Data management. - Collaboration with other investigators at the University of Pittsburgh and at other institutions. - Supervision/mentorship of other technicians, resident, fellows and students.
Master's degree with five to six years of experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted per university guidelines.
