Position Summary: The ESS (Engineered Systems Solutions) division of MFCP (Motion and Flow Control Products) develops custom systems including hydraulic power units, automation equipment, IIOT solutions, mobile controls systems (Refuse, Construction, Ag, Material Handling) and motion control gantries (Cartesian robots). The Electrical Systems Engineer role will be office based from our UL508 panel shop in Corona, CA and will work with a team of Mechanical/Systems Engineers, Controls Engineers, System Specialists as well as our sales team to develop customer scope into a successful delivered product. The Electrical Systems Engineer will be the primary responsible role for ensuring that panel designs meet UL/NFPA codes, internal standards and customer requirements and ensuring that the produced product follows this design before shipping for installation as a sub-assembly in a larger MFCP produced system or customer machine.
Primary Duties:
Create project scope from sales and/or customer supplied description
Panel Design
PLC, HMI & VFD Programming
Develop Electrical and Control System Architecture
Drive Engineering peer review of schematics and panel layout drawings
Project management from design-purchasing-production
Coordinating production review of schematics and panel layout drawings before release
Development of AutoCAD Electrical component library
Quality review and approval for production of control panel
As-built documentation and revision control
Development and improvement, in coordination with production, of control panel work instructions
Verification and optimization of control panel tooling in coordination with production
Start up and commissioning of equipment at customer location

Basic Requirements:
BSEE or similar
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience working in a “job shop” environment
Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A)
Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA 1910)
Experience with ECAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical
Allen-Bradley and CODESYS based programming experience is preferred but not required
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform job site inspections which might require the use of ladders or some minor physical exertion.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint to support customer letters, project updates, email, reports, group meeting preparation and training support.
Mechanical aptitude or experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and/or electromechanical systems. MFCP will support training towards IFPS Certified Fluid Power Engineer (Hydraulic + Pneumatic + Electrical specialist) certification. Existing UL508 MTR (Manufacturer Technical Representative) preferred. MFCP will support training towards this certification, if not already obtained.
Individual must complete all company training courses as required to ensure they have proper product knowledge.

Salary:
$60,000-$100,000/yearly
