The Compliance Manager position within the US Financial Crimes and Privacy Unit will be responsible for managing AML and Sanctions-related initiatives including risk and issue management, benefit analysis, and reporting. This candidate will not have direct reports but will often play a team management role within the initiatives that they oversee. The candidate will serve as the team’s primary technical point of contact and will collaborate with key stakeholders within compliance, technology, and the business to drive successful outcomes. This position will also lead US Financial Crimes and Privacy related initiatives to continue to optimize existing processes.

Requirements:


  • Five to eight years of demonstrated AML and Sanctions experience including experience with managing AML initiatives that have a high impact at all levels of an organization

  • Credibility as a subject matter expert for AML and Sanctions 

  • Ability to produce a well-defined project plan, act on any issues and risks, and ensure governance processes and decisions are applied consistently

  • Experience with training key stakeholders on Financial Crimes compliance applications, as needed

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and implement AML and sanctions screening solutions to satisfy business requirements

  • Familiarity with NICE Actimize, SAM/CDD/WLF modules

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and vice-versa

  • Ability to learn new Financial Crimes software, tools, and applications

  • Ability to partner with key stakeholders to work with external vendors on new application enhancements, system issue management, and manage overall vendor relationships

  • Experience defining, tracking, analyzing, and reporting metrics and key performance indicators

  • Strong communication and writing skills and the ability to synthesize work products into executive summaries and/or reports

  • Lead ad-hoc initiatives, review referrals for SAR filing determinations and filings, assist with alert reviews to support the needs of the team, and review Financial Crimes escalations as needed

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple projects and meet deadlines in a consistent manner

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment and operate independently under the direction of senior management

  • Exceptional research, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of MS SharePoint, MS Access, MS Project, MS Visio a plus

  • Knowledge of mutual funds, Life Insurance, Annuities, and/or retail Broker/Dealer products and transactions required

  • BA or BS Degree required, Advanced degree a plus

  • CAMS or CFE certification or other subject related professional qualification a plus

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $111,400.00 to $165,800.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
