The Assistant Permitting Manager will be responsible for assisting Permitting Manager with overall management of the permitting scope of work for all SOLV Energy projects.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:
• Ability to learn understand all AHJ (Federal, State, and Local) requirements for all jurisdictions we work in
o Provide guidance to owners, contract team, design teams, and field teams of AHJ requirements
o Review EPC contract exhibits related to owner/contractor obtained permits
o Assist in due diligence review during RFP stage (review CUPs, ESAs, EIRs, wetland permits, etc.)
• Develop close working relationships with AHJs
• Negotiate with AHJs when their interpretations of codes/regulations differ from our experience or beliefs
• Negotiate with AHJs regarding permit fees
• Education AHJs of the difference between solar/storage projects and more traditional construction projects
• Assist with the management of the overall permitting process
o Coordinate all permit applications
• Fill out appropriate paperwork and gather all required supplemental info
• Physically submit (or delegate to local field team) all submittals to AHJ
• Work with SOLV accounting to pay permitting and plan check fees in a timely manner
o Take meeting minutes for all permitting related meetings
o Attend in-person meetings with AHJs
o Act as point of contact between design team (internal SOLV team and outside consultants) and AHJ
o Coordinate AHJ submittal deliverable schedules with design team and owners
• Coordinate responses to AHJ comments with design team
o Manage project permit tracking/filing system for each individual project
• Provide miscellaneous permitting support on as-needed basis
o Arrange for printing of plans for submittal
o Other miscellaneous administrative tasks
o Manage digital organization of permitting team documents
• Assist with the education of project team personnel (Project Manager + Field Teams) of all project specific permitting requirements

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
• BS degree in accounting. Plus six years of accounts payable experience and 2 years supervisory experience, or
related lifetime experience desirable.
• Experience in preparation of Sales and Use Tax reporting, and 1099 processing.
• Good computer skills and high aptitude of basic computer spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to use 10-key by touch accurately.
• Effective verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Reliability, dependability, and flexibility.
• Ability to work and excel in a multi-tasking environment.

Compensation Range:
$91,520.00 - $137,280.00
