JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing superior service to Horseshoe Casino's guests by seeking out opportunities to be of service and by maintaining highly visible patrols to insure a safe gaming experience, by assuring quality support to other departments so that they may serve guests more effectively. The Security Officer is responsible for proactively maintaining public order, enforcing safety rules, protecting property and assets, and investigating disturbances in the casino and surrounding property areas.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Enforces company security/safety regulations.
• Guards transfer of money and chips from Change Booth to Main Cage.
• Performs all security/safety related duties.
• Represents company and its property to ensure all Casino regulations are adhered to at all times.
• Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills by displaying outlined service behaviors.
• Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, creates positive energy with gestures and sustains enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.
• Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates guest's wins.
• Is ready to serve and is informed of daily information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting.
• Anticipates needs and provides fast, flawless service.
• Checks for satisfaction and effectively resolves service breakdowns when they exist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years working experience in private security or law enforcement or 2 years education in the fields of criminal justice, law enforcement, private security, or other related field, or 2 years of combined field experience and education.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license for the position as required by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift
