About this role:

The Specialist will provide operational support and coordination between the Gartner event security team, event operations teams, and vendors. At the direction of the Senior Manager, Event Security, the specialist will assist with fulfilling legal, regulatory, and policy requirements for Gartner events globally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible, should enjoy the challenges of working on an entrepreneurial team, and must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive business information. He/she must also demonstrate a commitment to enabling Gartner's business through risk management practice and possess a no-limits, customer-service mindset.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate projects and tasks for the Gartner Global Event Security team.
  • Manage internal documentation; contribute ideas to improve program processes, tools, services and techniques.
  • Validate that event security, health and safety processes and procedures are in line with Gartner Global Safety & Security standards...
  • Assist in documenting event safety & security related incidents with Global Safety & Security, HR, Compliance and Legal.
  • Support event crisis management planning and response activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders and provide timely responses to inquiries
  • Validate providers are compliant with Gartner's event safety & security, executive and VIP security standards and measures.
  • Monitor and escalate event-specific intelligence and escalate when appropriate.
  • Manage third-party and vendor business relationships, including overseeing contract terms and ensuring that all service level agreements are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • The candidate should have the ability to travel up to 35% and have a current passport
  • The candidate may be required to work evening or weekend hours in the event of a security incident
  • Must be able to conduct routine security functions including; walking escorts, climbing stairs, and standing stationary posts
What you'll need:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree
  • Experience with law enforcement, global security, security risks management and intelligence preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience desired
  • Collaborative, team player who has a proven ability to identify and define objectives while managing resources within a budget plan
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide timely and accurate operational support e.g., maintaining systems and trackers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
  • Proficient in the Google Workspace and with Microsoft Office
  • Operational experience working with security vendors, guard services, and hotel/venue security teams
  • Demonstrated presentation and communications skills and ability to speak to senior audiences with subject matter mastery
