Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
General
Serving as a Director forming part of the senior leadership team tasked with delivering the P&L results for the regional business unit.
Working with other Directors in North America and other parts of the world, develop a strategy for how RCG targets and approaches specific market segments, and then execute on that strategy.
Along with colleagues in New York, London, Glasgow, and elsewhere, take a lead role in positioning RCG as a go-to trusted expert services firm in all regions of North America.
Attract, develop, and lead a team of top experts who can support technical advisory, due diligence, development services, and independent engineering throughout the region.
Lead in the pursuit and closing of new consulting engagements with utility companies, project developers, investors (i.e., banks, institutions, tax equity players), insurers, equipment manufacturers, and other businesses and organizations.
Develop and expand long-term client relationships that will lead to repeat business.
Manage all aspects of successful client engagement, including continual improvement and excellence in customer service, in coordination with the regional head and global practice leaders.
Actively team with colleagues in other offices, regions, and practices to identify and pursue opportunities and generate revenue
Support other directors and regional heads to identify the right technical resources inside and outside of RCG.
Act in the role(s) of engagement manager, project leader, and/or subject matter expert for billable client engagements.
Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and other documents for client deliverables.
Business Acumen
Ability to build, manage, and maintain client relationships in the on- and offshore wind, solar, and emerging energy technologies markets.
Excellent business development and client service experience.
Track record of collaborative sales pursuits.

Personal and active involvement in sourcing, selecting, developing, and training top talent in conjunction with the regional business leaders.
Focus on the professional development of self and that of the junior staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, renewable energy technology, general management, business administration or related discipline.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the renewable energy business (advisory, R&D, project development, engineering and construction, etc.).
Track record of successful business origination and project delivery to clients within the renewable energy industry.
Relevant professional and/or industry certifications.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Demonstrated thought leadership through industry publications and forums.
High proficiency with standard industry software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office suite).

Strong conceptual and analytical skills – both quantitative and qualitative.
Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects, sometimes pressured conditions, simultaneously.

Frequent travel by airplane, train, or car as necessary to perform work at other locations.
