Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Preventive maintenance of equipment performed on time with no extensions.

Maintenance scheduling without any interruption of production capacity.

Parts and supplies obtained prior to preventive maintenance due date.

Communication with production personnel to get feedback about equipment

performance as well as to provide feedback about maintenance performed.

Seek help to complete the tasks, if problems arise, to complete the task on time.

Identify potential opportunities for better utilization of SiC growth furnaces and bring them to attention of area process engineers, supervisors or operators for better performance.

Review of SiC growth furnace history to update maintenance schedule

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 yr. experience as technician.
• Associate or working toward a college degree required.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.

Perform trouble shooting of equipment problems with respect to mechanical and electrical areas, down to individual component level. Perform routine periodic testing of equipment to ensure key components are functioning properly. Work with engineers and production personnel to modify and improve equipment performance to ensure high levels of quality. Supports ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality System. Keep and maintain records for equipment repair/preventive maintenance. Perform minor facility repairs including plumbing and electrical repairs. Back up for growth operator/technician position.
